Your role:

It's an exciting time to become a Maritime Warfare Officer with the growth of both people and new technologies underway. In this role, you'll receive world-class training that will enable you to confidently lead teams to achieve complex missions and be a mentor to junior members.

This leadership role is designed to give you a broad overview of everything that happens within a naval ship and equip you with all the experience required to move up to senior leadership roles.

You'll manage the teams responsible for the safety and operation of advanced Navy platforms. You will be fully trained to take charge of a ship including navigation, schedules and routines for the period of your shift.

Becoming a Maritime Warfare Officer can provide you with unlimited opportunities – far beyond the confines of an office building. You will find yourself contributing to something much larger than a company's bottom line while being surrounded by the Navy community that will support and encourage your personal development.

Life in the Navy:

A career in the Navy is a challenging and highly rewarding working environment that comes with a good work/life balance, competitive salary and skills for life. You can expect to feel a unique sense of accomplishment and pride from serving and protecting our country and helping to keep our vast coastlines safe.

Life in the Navy is anything but mundane. You'll enjoy varied lifestyles, rewarding careers, opportunities to travel, and excellent social and fitness facilities, free medical and dental; all in a dynamic and fulfilling working environment.

Don't worry, it's not all life at sea—there's more to the Navy than ships, submarines and helicopters. Some days, you might be exploring exciting new countries with your fellow crewmates. Other days, you could be stationed locally not too far from home.

Salary:

When you first join the Navy and while studying for your degree at the university of your choice, you will be paid a salary of between $34,633 and $46,947 depending on your year of study. This is in addition to your university sponsorship.

Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you'll enjoy a competitive starting salary package of up to: $111,042, which includes a maritime allowance while serving at sea.

In addition to your salary, you will receive generous superannuation, housing subsidies and free medical and dental care.

Apply Now:

If you're an Australian citizen and completed at least one year of an appropriate degree and have no more than three years of full-time study outstanding to complete your degree, apply for this role and get sponsored to finish your degree.
