Occupational Therapist at Empower Healthcare

The most joyous moments for me are surprised and fulfilled look on people’s faces when they try the assistive aids that they never thought such a small piece of equipment will make such a big impact in their daily life.

I joined Empower Healthcare in January 2021 and have been working as a home care occupational therapist across Melbourne.

I appreciate the opportunities to help vulnerable individuals to achieve their goals of being able to participate in the things they want and/or need to be able to do on a daily basis as well as achieve a healthy and meaningful life. That reminds me why I fell in love with occupational therapy in the first place.

During my time working as a community occupational therapist, I have already found the profession to be fascinating and rewarding, and I am very proud to have chosen this as my career path.

The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) acknowledges the Turrbal and Yugara, as the First Nations owners of the lands where QUT now stands.
