Your role

As Graduate Occupational Therapists with Empower, participants have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients of different ages, needs, and goals. The work is truly meaningful, with a goal to make a difference in people’s lives by improving their independence, safety, and well-being within their environment. A graded caseload is provided, allowing time to develop skills in one area at a time.

As a member of the Empower Graduate Program, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to flourish in your career. Their program includes:

• Fun-filled Induction and Orientation Program - A structured orientation plan including shadowing their senior clinicians to get you started
• Graduate GROWTH Plan - Set a clear plan of what you want to get out of the program [ML2]

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) 
• Pending Registration with AHPRA 
• Police Check Clearance 
• Valid Drivers Licence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time-management skills and attention to detail
• Passion to support people to live their lives the way they want to

Training, development & rotations

In the first year, graduates embark on a journey of professional development supported by peers and mentors in a team environment. A personalized GROWTH plan with regular mentoring, learning modules, and workshops forms the basis of the schedule. The second year enables exploration of different facets of the organization through the Business Operations Program, Mentoring Program, and Advanced Clinical Skills Program, offering valuable exposure and experience
