Your role

The 24-month program provides a well-balanced approach to your clinical and personal development and Empowers you to make a real difference in people’s lives. The dedicated graduate program provides wrap-around support so you can confidently transition into life as a first-year clinician and extend the skills you worked hard to develop at university. Their innovative service model focuses on delivering the best clinical outcomes for clients. As a Graduate Physiotherapist with Empower, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients ranging in age with various needs and goals. They provide a graded caseload so you have time to develop skills in one area at a time.

  • Fun-filled Induction and Orientation Program - A structured orientation plan including shadowing their senior clinicians to get you started.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) 
  • Pending Registration with AHPRA 
  • Police Check Clearance 
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time-management skills and attention to detail
  • Passion to support people to live their lives the way they want to

Training, development & rotations

In your first year, you will embark on a journey of professional development where you’ll be supported by peers and mentors working in a team environment. A personalised GROWTH plan, with regular mentoring, learning modules and workshops will form the basis of your schedule. Your Second year will enable you to explore different facets of their organisation through their Business Operations Program, Mentoring Program, and Advanced Clinical Skills Program, offering valuable exposure and experience.

Monday to Thursday I am doing home visits, with NDIS clients. This involves ongoing OT intervention and functional capacity assessments. Friday's are in the office, catching up on documentation and engaging in MDT meetings.
