There is a lot of opportunity for growth. The Team Leaders are happy to support you and want to customize your experiences so they are in line with your goals. There are regular social gatherings that allow you to catch up with your team members socially.
I feel as though Empower is very diverse and does not discriminate based on gender, race or sexuality. Empower is very good with maternity leave and I believe they are very flexible with child care. Not so great at retention however this is an issue within the aged care sector generally, and I believe that they probably have a better retention rate than most aged care providers.
The office I work in is open and welcoming. The dress code consists of the work uniform when seeing clients. If you are not seeing clients, we can wear work-appropriate casual clothing.
I completed that job application. A few days later I got a call for a phone interview with the hiring team. I had an interview with the COO and was offered the job after this.
There is a grad bonus at the end of the program, which I am looking forward to. I haven't had my annual review yet but I have heard that it will be a good discussion.
The new grad program was really good as it had monthly learned that you had to complete and was monitored by senior staff members. I don't feel like external PD is promoted as much as it should be.
