Application Process & Interviews at Fulton Hogan

8.2
8.2 rating for Recruitment, based on 48 reviews
Please describe the interview process and assessments.
The interview process was very direct but relaxed and positive. The company has a good process of filtering down applicants from national recruitment to regional recruitment. The only bit of feedback would be speeding up the transition between national to regional recruitment as there was a bit of a delay in the process and the hand over needs to occur more effectively.
Graduate, Sydney - 27 Aug 2024
Interview process was good, involved an online application, online video interview, and then an in-person interview. I dealt with one person the entire process which was nice and made it more personal. No assessments required for interview process.

interview process was a bit long and dragged out, however that is to be expected for graduate program, however I've heard typical hiring process is much easier
Graduate, Melbourne - 20 Aug 2024
The interview process came through emailing between the HR rep for the office and organising an interview internally, not through applying to job posts. I had 2 interviews, one was for interest in an internship, which sparked a connection and continued to stay in touch until a second interview came about for the graduate position. The interviews are well structured, it involved the HR rep and the delivery manager of the business I was applying to. They provided background info on the Utilities business and asked detailed questions to really test my knowledge. They allowed me to ask questions in which I asked more about the role and day-to-day life of that role. Information provided was broad. I had no other assessments regarding the recruitment, besides a medical check.

Graduate, Melbourne - 07 Aug 2023
The interview process included submitting an application with a cover letter and resume. Then once accepted, I had to complete psychometric training (I think) and a digital interview. This digital interview was done in a way so that a question would appear on the screen and then I would have time to prepare for it, and then answer it. This answer was recorded. Finally I had to do the face to face interview.

What questions were you asked in your interviews?
What experience do you have working with blue collar workers? Explain a time you encountered conflict and how you dealt with it? What projects of ours are you aware of? Are you open to regional travel in your work? What data management experience do you have? What do you do for fun in your spare time? (really like this question, relaxed the atmosphere)
