Property Intern - 2024/25 KiwiRail Summer Internship Programme

The KiwiRail Summer Internship Programme is a great opportunity to gain real-life work experience in a busy and transformational environment!

Our Property Resource Management Act team (RMA) has responsibility for supporting all KiwiRail's major programmes of work. Our main objective is to provide Resource Management Act advice and support to KiwiRail, to achieve compliance and the proactive protection of KiwiRail’s operations and developments. We liaise with councils on strategy, plans and applications, and get involved in planning related policy and legislative changes that impact on our business.  

This is a fantastic opportunity for a property intern to get insights on significant, iconic and well-funded programmes of work.

What you’ll need

  • Relevant Academic Background: Studying RMA Planning or Property
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Eligibility: Must be a New Zealand resident or citizen.
  • Availability: Able to work in Wellington from 18th November to mid-February 2025
