Our Graduate Program
Our Graduate program will provide you with a first-rate introduction to the law and an exciting start to a rewarding career. It will build on your university education in a range of practical ways from structured training, to workshops, to formal and informal mentoring. But mostly by doing real work for real clients.
The year is built on four practice group rotations of three months each, covering both commercial and litigious areas of practice. We'll ask you to indicate your preferences and we'll do our best to accommodate everybody's interests. The rotations help you develop broad skills in the law, an understanding of the different areas of our business, and give you a range of experiences to help you choose an area of practice following qualification.
In addition to the practical, on-the-job learning in rotations, Graduates complete a part-time Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with The College of Law, as well as our comprehensive in-house Learning & Development Program.
It doesn't stop there. We're always looking to support people with opportunities for development and career growth and you'll be well looked after. Your graduate year is filled with learning, strong working relationships, friendship, and lots of fun.
We're looking for people with the intelligence to tackle complex and interesting legal scenarios, energy to absorb new concepts and willingness to work productively and collaboratively with different people.
For more information on our Graduate program, please visit our website.
Our firm's preference is to provide opportunities to students in their final year of study, however, we do give consideration to those who have completed their degree. We will not consider candidates who have been admitted prior to commencing with us as a Graduate. You must complete the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with The College of Law during your graduate year at Landers. Candidates must have completed all units of their degree by March 2023.
Candidates must be Australian or New Zealand citizens to be eligible for a Graduate role at Lander & Rogers.

Ready to embrace a meaningful career within an award-winning culture? Lander & Rogers is a leading independent Australian law firm with a focus on you
Work life balance, great support, great culture, great people.
Everyone in the firm is extremely supportive and has made transitioning into a legal role an enjoyable experience.
The people are really friendly, the training and mentoring and working with people at all levels.
Great work hours for the industry and flexibility to work from home.
Everyone at the firm is always open for providing an explanation of tasks and feedback.
The pay is on the lower end of the current market rate, but still competitive.
Occasional poor turnout in the office due to people working from home.
Slightly fewer graduate responsibilities - it's quite a lot for a small cohort to juggle responsibilities.
The Brisbane office is great, but as the office grows we are starting to run out of space.
Pay is not as competitive and no bonuses.
