An exciting opportunity has opened at our Mainfreight Air and Ocean Dunedin branch to join their team through the Mainfreight Development Programme.

We are looking for a team member who: 

  • Has excellent communication/computer skills.
  • Can meet time frames and deadlines.
  • Be an innovative and proactive solution provider.
  • Someone who thrive in a Team environment.
  • Has a passion for the Mainfreight brand and culture; where responsibility, fun and results go hand in hand.
  • Has an understanding of the Supply chain industry and business & ideally Mainfreight would be advantageous but not necessary as full training will be provided.
  • Preferably has some form of customer service or sales experience. But for the right person exceptions can be made.

Your responsibilities will include:

The role will be varied but most of all you will initially be involved in the day-to-day operations dealing with our customer to arrange various aspects of importing and exporting their freight, with the opportunity to move into Brokerage or Sales. 

  • Learn the business from the ground up
  • Working with your team to handle our customer’s freight as if it were your own

Mainfreight is more than just a transport business; we are involved in the following:

  • Freight transporting
  • Domestic warehousing
  • International Air & Ocean; and
  • Global supply chain solutions for our customers.
