A household name for most Victorians, RACV has been around for more than 115 years and is recognised as the largest member organisation in Victoria.
The people are absolutely amazing. I come to work excited to catch up with everyone.
There is so much opportunity to work across different teams in the business and broaden your career path, and you'll always be supported.
The positive close-knit workplace culture in the department and the modern office spaces.
Given a lot of responsibility to deliver projects & work independently. This combined with a supportive manager makes me feel that I am developing quickly.
The company is determined and serious about investing time and money into new graduates.
Some teams may be less mature but this also means you are given responsibility and opportunity from the get go that grads from other companies might not get.
I wouldn't say it's the worst thing but the technology is still a bit behind compared to other places โ laptops are very slow and run into many issues (this is work and team dependent).
Department culture and ways of working can vary department to department.
Teams tend to prioritise tasks far in advance, so it can take a long time for turnarounds on requests/suggestions.
Whilst this responsibility is great for developing my professional self, sometimes it can be stressful.
