Our business

At Reckitt, we’re driven by our fight to make access to the highest quality hygiene, wellness and nourishment a right, not a privilege.

We’re a global business operating in more than 60 countries, with more than 40,000 diverse, talented people - driven in the relentless pursuit of a cleaner, healthier world. You'll know our Hygiene business through some of our big brands - Finish, Vanish, Pine O Cleen, Mortein and Airwick.

Our business is dynamic, and our purpose, fight and compass give us the freedom to make an impact - it’s what drives us to always aim higher to make a real difference to the world through our brands.

Our culture

We strive to put people’s lives at the heart of our business through our people and purpose-led performance culture.

Our purpose initiatives span things like our Finish Water Waste campaign, our Glen20 partnership with Meals on Wheels (AU) and our partnership with the World Wildlife Fund.

Our employee's lives are also at the heart of what we do, which is why we recognise that no one way of working suits everyone. Our future of work is hybrid - you'll have the freedom to choose whether to work from home (with equipment and an ergonomic allowance provided) or work in the office - with only key moments of connection, collaboration, creativity and coaching taking place in person at our George Street office.

Passionate about culture and engagement? You'll also have the opportunity to join one our employee-led councils in areas such as biodiversity, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing, mental health or the future of work. Want to be at the heart of things?

As a Finance Graduate with Reckitt, you’ll have the freedom to influence our Finance Function at every step of the way!

I feel that I have significantly more responsibility and independence than I would as a graduate in a similar role in the industry.

Pros and cons of working at Reckitt Australia & New Zealand

Pros

  • Ownership over big projects! Continuously pushing me to be at my best through support and training. Being able to still add immense amounts of value to the team despite being in a junior role.

  • The working culture and the close-knit teams that do not operate on a hierarchy.

  • People - great culture that is fun and young

  • Love the fast-paced nature of the work, strong ownership, lots of opportunity, constantly learning, varied work, fun culture and team.

  • The rate of career progression is unparalleled in the industry. Managers are very motivating, work events are great and the business is very fast-paced.

Cons

    • Steep learning curve initially.

    • The hours - the nature of the business means that you are working relatively long hours, but the office is a fun place to be so time doesn't drag.

    • Being in control means there's no one else to blame when things go wrong.

    • The speed at which we work - exceptionally fast-paced.

    • Workload can be slightly overwhelming and the processes can definitely be a bit more streamlined.
