Start your career with Roy Hill. Our people drive our success, and we want you to be part of our 2023 Graduate Program.

Roy Hill represents the next generation of integrated iron ore mine, rail and port operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. You donโ€™t need a background in mining - we attract and retain people who are the best in their field.

The Roy Hill Graduate Program is set to kick off in January 2023. We will be offering the opportunity to recent graduates to complete a 2-year program across our state of art facilities in Perth and at our operational Mining and Port locations.

We have opportunities in the following departments:

  • Asset Management
  • Demand Chain
  • Finance
  • Mining
  • People, Health & Safety
  • Port & Rail
  • Projects
  • Technical Services
  • Technology & Innovation

As a graduate, you will help develop innovative and fresh ideas, along with gaining first-hand experience by being part of our high performing iron ore business. We see graduates as the future influencers of our business, which is why we will inspire you to be the best you can be in your chosen field.

This is an opportunity for you to be part of the Roy Hill community, where we pride ourselves on equal opportunities, career progression and working with emerging technology.

To be eligible, you must have graduated no later than 2 years ago, have a maximum of two years of industry experience in your relevant field of study and have full working rights within Australia. The WA Government have made it mandatory for all people who attend a mine site, oil or gas facility or remote operations centre (ROC) to be vaccinated against COVID-19, including all visitors to these sites.

The new directions aim to address the risks posed by the movement of resources sector workers to and from regional and remote locations in the State, with many mine sites located at or near remote Aboriginal communities. The mandate will also safeguard mining operations in recognition of the sectorโ€™s importance to our state and country.

Roy Hill requires all employees who will be working at or visiting an operational site, including the Perth Control Room to be double dose vaccinated. Employees are additionally required to receive their third vaccination within one month of becoming eligible.

Please consider this requirement when submitting your application.

Employees will be required to provide evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination history prior to commencing employment with the company.

Under the Project Engineering domain, I have been solely assigned package manager of 3 mechanical equipment vendor packages for our project. This involves leading weekly vendor meetings, review of documentation, liaising with the vendor, attending mechanical equipment inspections, working with multi-disciplinary specialist engineers and the commercial team, answering technical queries, keeping track of deliverables, and keeping track of schedule to ensure the mechanical equipment is delivered on-time and on-budget. Under the Mechanical Engineering domain, I have been working closely with our team's Mechanical Engineering Manager to close out the detailed engineering of the plant with our design consultants. This involves regular visits to the design consultant offices, answering of technical queries, reviewing design documentation, and keeping track of required deliverables. I have also had involvement in other design and construct packages which involves the review of documentation and answering of technical queries.
