Graduate Electrical Engineer (Security & ICT Consultant)

The Role

The Security Consulting Group will soon be seeking Graduate Engineers in the fields of ICT, Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering.

The role will be in the delivery of our projects, both small and large, utilising engineering and electrical processes to design, coordinate and document ICT and security outcomes within the Infrastructure and Building Engineering Services markets. Skills you will gain throughout your graduate experience include:

• Design of sophisticated and highly integrated Security Alarm Systems, Electronic Access Control, CCTV Surveillance, perimeter systems, physical security construction, communications network infrastructure and classified network implementation.
• Computer Aided Design programs (Autodesk REVIT) used in the building construction industry with full training provided.
• Overseeing and assessing the installation of electrical and ICT systems to Australian Standards.
• Project management and consultancy skills.
• The ability to interface and collaborate with Architects, other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
• Site inspection and project delivery experience.
• Thinking critically and using the engineering design process to solve unique challenges.

Our team is ever expanding across our offices within Australia with graduate opportunities soon to be available in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide. This allows flexibility to apply to work in a preferred location, and to move between locations based on personal and business requirements.

There will be the opportunity to start earlier as a Consultant/Engineering Cadet, before the official start date, while you complete your university studies.

Key Requirements

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident seeking citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in fields related to ICT, Communications or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• In your final year of study. Or have graduated in the past 2 years.

Due to the nature of our work, a condition of SCG’s employment will be a successful outcome of a National Police Check and Australian Government Negative Vetting 2 Security Clearance. Please consider this when applying. All costs associated with this application will be paid by us.
