What you'll be doing as a Software Engineering intern?
You'll get exposure to our teams' innovative work in areas like Smart Home products, IoT (Internet of Things), automation, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and much more.
What skills and experiences do you need?
We're looking for students who are currently studying for a degree like IT (Software Engineering), Computer Science (Software Engineering), Science (Computing, Software Engineering) or Software Engineering.
We're also looking for people who are curious about technology, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and are an innovator, problem solvers and critical thinkers.
Our Summer Internship Program is open to university students who are in the penultimate year of their studies of a minimum three-year undergraduate degree from an Australian university or those undertaking their master's degree. So, you will need to be graduating in 2023 to be eligible.
International Students who have a valid visa that enables them to work in Australia without any work restrictions are eligible to apply to our technical pathways.

The work I do is engaging and is helping me to develop my technical skills. My day-to-day involves short-term and long-term planning as well as ad-hoc requests. Cons
Because it is so large, coordination of work can be difficult, meaning tasks are being done by multiple teams at once.
It is very big.
Having to manage different time zones via hybrid working which also means we can't always see our team mates face to face, losing that in person benefit.
There is confusion about the structure of teams, groups, and functions.
Often difficult to get things done. Such a large company means many people involved in decision making.
