Responsibilities

You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including:
 

  • working on a range of complex insurance litigation and insurance advice matters, across a mixed practice including personal injury and property damage files;
  • develop skills in insurance law and litigation;
  • have regular involvement and contact with clients;
  • appear in various courts and tribunals including Magistrates, County and Supreme courts; and
  • supervise and train junior lawyers as required.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • an academic qualification in law, with a current QLD Practicing Certificate;
  • experience working in a law firm, ideally in insurance litigation; and
  • excellent analytical, drafting and communication (verbal and written) skills, with superior attention to detail.

In addition, you will:

  • be an enthusiastic and personable lawyer who has a passion for client service;
  • have the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, as well as autonomously; and
  • have a desire for personal development.
