6.30 AM - Alarm sounds!
Time to wake up, freshen up and have some breakfast and get ready for a big day in the office.
8.00 AM -Taking the train to work
One of the perks of being a permanent full-time Queensland Rail employee is the free train travel to and from work.
8.30 AM - Daily planning
After settling into the office, it is time to catch up on unread emails and start planning my day. This includes reviewing the meetings I have scheduled for the day and scheduling in time for myself to work on my projects.
10.30 AM - Mentoring session with my manager
My manager shouts me a coffee and we sit down to discuss my goals for the year, current projects and any work-related items I need guidance with.
12. PM - Lunch time!
I head out of the office to give my legs a stretch and to re-fuel with some lunch from the local carvery.
1.30 PM - Meeting the business teams
After an energy boost from lunch, it is time to meet some internal business teams to discuss their requirements for some SAP projects that I am delivering. Today I am meeting with the Finance team to discuss some configuration changes that I am making within the Finance and Accounting module in our SAP system.
4.00 PM: Winding down for the day
Now that my meetings for the day are over, I now have some quiet time to book in follow up meetings and to respond to emails that I received while I was away from my desk.
5.00 PM: Calling it a day
That’s a wrap for the day, time to log off and go meet the rest of the graduate crew for a well-deserved drink and dinner! Will do it all again tomorrow!
